GE Wireless Photoelectric Smoke Detector with Sounder and Thermal
The ESL supervised smoke alarms are self-diagnostic Learn Mode wireless sensors with 319.5 MHz transmitters that use photoelectric technology with a self contained sounder, a low battery annunciator, status LED, and integrated fixed temperature and rate-of-rise heat sensor. Each unit has a base tamper switch, is part of a residential security/fire alarm system, and communicates with the system control panel.
GE Learn Mode Shock Sensor
The GE Learn Mode Shock Sensor has the following three main functions:
- To detect the vibrations made by an intruder trying to break a window or door.
- To detect a window or door opening.
- To detect tamper situations, such as an intruder removing the sensor cover.
Vibrations cause a momentary open circuit in the shock element of the sensor. The circuit closes again when the vibration stops. The sensor microcontroller “sees” the open/close action as a pulse, causing the sensor to transmit an alarm signal. The sensor has two different detection modes:
- Gross Attack – detect a violent blow sufficient in length to trip sensor.
- Pulse Count – detect a sufficient number of less violent blows (rapping or tapping).
The sensor includes an internal magnetic reed switch that must be disabled if it is not used.
A cover tamper provides additional security if an intruder tries to disable or damage the sensor.
GE DesignLine Wall Touchpad: 4 button white
The GE DesignLine Wall Touchpad enables you to turn the system on before exiting and upon entering the home or to turn the siren and call the central monitoring station if there is an emergency. If lamp modules have been installed, you can use the touchpad to turn system-controlled light on or off.
The unit is a lithium coin battery-powered, wireless transmitter. It provides a convenient option for the following system operations:
- Arm the system (doors, windows, and motion sensors).
- Arm the system with no entry delay (if programmed).
- Disarm the system.
- Activate a panic alarm to call the central monitoring station in a nonmedical emergency.
- Turn system controlled lights on or off (depending on your system configuration).
- Open the garage door (if programed).
The touchpad has no tamper detection. A low battery condition is automatically detected by the touchpad and communicated to the control panel.
Additional protection only available for GE Simon XT Wireless Security System
GE Simon XT Talking Touch Screen
The GE Simon XT Talking Touch Screen features a color 3.5 inch LCD screen with a graphical user interface designed to control basic functionality of the GE Simon XT control panel. Up to four touch screens can be learned (programmed) into each GE Simon XT panel.
The touch screen provides a convenient option for the following system operations:
- Arm the system (doors, windows, and motion sensors).
- Disarm the system.
- Activate a panic alarm to call the central monitoring station in a nonmedical emergency.
- Check system status.
- Turn system controlled lights on or off (depending on your system configuration).
- Hear voice feedback of the status of the GE Simon XT control panel.
